Cultivating Connections explores the concept of social capital, highlighting its essential role in expanding access to quality jobs and its importance within youth apprenticeships. The PAYA National Partner Education Strategy Group will present their Social Capital Scope and Sequence—a four-step learning progression aligned with key competencies for middle and high school students. This progression includes activities and resources designed to help students build social capital knowledge, develop networking skills, and begin activating their networks. Attendees will also examine case studies from other youth apprenticeship organizations and discuss how ESG’s Scope and Sequence aligns with PAYA’s guiding principles.
